Building content templates

Reusable blueprints for a visual post - a caption skeleton, hashtags and per-frame guidance. Structure, never a picture.

A content template is a blueprint you start a draft from: a caption skeleton, a set of hashtags, and guidance for each slide or scene. Templates are structure only. Nothing here composites, renders or generates a picture.

Templates live in a workspace and can be shared with the team or kept personal.

BEFORE YOU START

  • A workspace you can reach.
  • The "create" permission to save a template. Deleting one needs to be the author or a workspace manager.
  • Nothing else, and no credits.

STEPS

  1. Open the workspace and choose Content templates, or go to /app/workspaces/{workspace}/content-templates.
  2. Under "New template", fill in "Name", and optionally "Description", "Category", "Platform" and "Aspect ratio".
  3. Choose the "Library": Team or Personal.
  4. Write the "Caption skeleton". A hook line, the one idea, and a call to action is a good shape.
  5. Add "Hashtags" as a comma-separated list.
  6. Under "Frames", choose "Add frame" for each slide or scene and write what should go on it. Use "Remove" to drop one.
  7. Choose "Save template".

WHAT YOU SHOULD SEE

The template in the list. Choose "View" on a row to expand its contents, and "Hide" to collapse it again.

WHAT THIS WILL NOT DO

  • It does not produce an image. The frames are written guidance for whoever makes the visual.
  • It does not schedule or publish.
  • Loading a template's contents can fail without the template being empty. The page keeps those two apart on purpose.
  • Deleting is limited to the author or a workspace manager, so a shared template cannot be removed by anyone who happens to see it.

IF IT DOES NOT WORK

  • "That template could not be saved." usually means a missing name or a permission you do not have.
  • "This template's contents could not be loaded, so nothing is shown below. That is not the same as an empty template."
  • "That template could not be deleted, so it is still in this library."
  • "Only the author or a workspace manager can delete this template."
  • "This is a personal template." means it belongs to somebody else.
  • "You do not have access to this workspace."

COMMON QUESTIONS

Is a template the same as a prompt?

No. A prompt is an instruction to the AI writer. A template is a blueprint a person fills in, and it carries frame guidance a prompt does not.

Can I start a draft from a template?

Yes, through the "Create from a template" journey in Create. Templates live in a workspace, so choose one first.
