Saving reusable prompts

A workspace prompt library - shared or personal, versioned on every edit, and offered inside the content editor.

A prompt is a reusable AI instruction saved into a workspace, with placeholders you fill in each time. Team prompts are shared with everyone who can reach the workspace; personal prompts are only yours.

Every edit keeps an immutable version, so a prompt that used to work well is never lost to a later change.

BEFORE YOU START

  • A workspace you can reach. The library is per workspace.
  • The "create" permission to save a prompt, and "edit" to change or remove one.
  • Nothing else. Saving prompts costs no credits; using one costs whatever the generation costs.

STEPS

  1. Open the workspace and choose Prompts, or go to /app/workspaces/{workspace}/prompts.
  2. Under "New prompt", write a "Title" that says what the prompt is for.
  3. Write the prompt itself. Use placeholders in braces, for example a topic placeholder, so the same prompt serves many posts.
  4. Set a "Category" such as hooks or captions, so the library stays findable.
  5. Choose the "Library": Team to share it, Personal to keep it to yourself.
  6. Choose "Save prompt".

WHAT YOU SHOULD SEE

The prompt in the list with a chip reading Team or Personal and its version number. Saved prompts appear as a dropdown in the content editor's AI draft assistant, where picking one fills in the brief.

WHAT THIS WILL NOT DO

  • It does not run the prompt. Saving a prompt generates nothing and charges nothing.
  • It does not fill placeholders for you. A placeholder is a reminder to a person.
  • It does not delete history. Editing a prompt appends a version rather than overwriting the old text.
  • The mobile app lists and saves prompts, but the mobile content editor has no AI draft assistant, so a prompt is not offered there at the moment of writing.

IF IT DOES NOT WORK

  • "That prompt could not be saved." usually means a missing title or a permission you do not have.
  • "That prompt could not be saved. What you typed is still here." means the request did not complete; nothing was saved and nothing was lost.
  • "Your saved prompts could not be loaded, so none are offered here." in the content editor means the library failed to load, not that it is empty.
  • "That saved prompt has no text in it, so nothing was filled in."
  • "That saved prompt could not be loaded, so nothing was filled in."

COMMON QUESTIONS

Who can see a personal prompt?

Only you. A team prompt is visible to everyone who can reach the workspace.

Can I move a prompt between workspaces?

No. A prompt belongs to the workspace it was saved in.

    Reusable blueprints for a visual post - a caption skeleton, hashtags and per-frame guidance. Structure, never a picture.

    Adding a webpage or your own notes so generations can cite them instead of inventing a claim.
